Job Description

Overview

  • Direct laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and delivering exceptional service quality across various diagnostic departments.
  • Provide strategic leadership to laboratory staff, fostering collaboration and professional growth within a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Oversee laboratory services including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology, ensuring operational excellence and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align laboratory operations with organizational goals and drive innovation in service delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance laboratory efficiency and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in laboratory technology and practices to ensure cutting-edge operations and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field is required.
  • State Medical Technologist license and ASCP registration are mandatory for this role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care laboratory supervisory experience; 5 years preferred for optimal performance.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing laboratory operations and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory services including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to align laboratory operations with strategic goals.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently to optimize laboratory performance.
