Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and oversee ground-up construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project objectives and deliver exceptional results in commercial and self-storage developments.
  • Manage all project phases, including estimation, preconstruction, execution, and closeout, ensuring seamless transitions and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve project milestones and goals effectively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures to ensure success.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet objectives.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to address and resolve technical challenges.
  • Supervise subcontractors and construction crews, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery.
  • Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment, optimizing cost and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, proactively addressing delays and challenges.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing ground-up construction projects; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and self-storage development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Ability to oversee projects from estimation/preconstruction through closeout phases.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards in construction.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
