Overview

  • Contribute to valuation processes for diverse investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with industry standards and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic insights on portfolio valuation and investment analysis to support informed decision-making and optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and refine valuation frameworks and price verification procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve valuation methodologies.
  • Engage with third-party valuation providers and auditors to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support fund accounting and operations teams in reconciliations and reporting activities to maintain financial integrity.
  • Communicate portfolio pricing results and P&L drivers effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in valuation processes and methodologies to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement valuation policies and procedures for diverse financial instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform detailed valuation analysis using industry-standard models and techniques to support financial decision-making.
  • Conduct daily valuation checks and address discrepancies effectively to maintain data integrity.
  • Coordinate pricing requests and resolve disputes with brokers and third parties to ensure seamless operations.
  • Review and validate financial models for accuracy and reliability in valuation processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to streamline valuation workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Liaise with auditors and valuation service providers during reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide regular updates on valuation metrics and enforce controls effectively to maintain standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in valuation analysis and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in valuation models including DCF and market comparison techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex valuation challenges effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial products such as derivatives and private equity assets.
  • Experience with tools like Bloomberg, Excel, and programming languages such as Python.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and present findings clearly.
