Business Analyst – Data

Overview

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven solutions for business challenges and opportunities.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications for analytics projects.
• Drive the prioritization and management of analytics initiatives using Agile methodologies.
• Evaluate and implement advanced tools for data visualization and reporting enhancements.
• Facilitate planning sessions to ensure timely delivery of high-impact analytics solutions.
• Support organizational efforts to foster data-driven decision-making across departments.
• Identify and execute process improvements to optimize analytics workflows and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather and document analytics requirements comprehensively.
• Analyze existing data challenges and reporting gaps to propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and refine user stories to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
• Lead sprint planning sessions to allocate resources effectively and meet project deadlines.
• Validate analytics solutions against business objectives and oversee user acceptance testing.
• Maintain detailed documentation of processes, data definitions, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless execution of analytics initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data or analytics.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics concepts.
• Basic proficiency in SQL for data validation and understanding queries.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization platforms.
