Job Description

Overview

  • Take charge of financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency within the accounting department of a leading organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between accounting results and business forecasts.
  • Manage month-end close processes, reconciliations, and audit readiness documentation with precision and timeliness.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
  • Support tax compliance efforts, including multi-state sales tax and franchise tax filings.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage accounting systems for enhanced data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide variance analysis and contribute to budget and forecasting processes.
  • Participate in financial reviews and reporting for management and board presentations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements compliant with US GAAP standards.
  • Perform reconciliations for key accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and deferred revenue.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit schedules.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, vendor onboarding, and expense reimbursements efficiently.
  • Support revenue recognition processes under ASC 606, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Assist with tax compliance, including state sales tax filings and franchise tax reporting.
  • Collaborate on system optimization initiatives to enhance accounting workflows and data accuracy.
  • Perform data integrity checks and reconciliations for forecasting and budgeting models.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in technology or SaaS industries.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, ASC 606, and general ledger accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct; familiarity with integrated tools like Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and automation efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
