Job Description

Overview

  • Support firm-wide billing operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in a global law firm environment.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to maintain client billing standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within financial systems and billing operations.
  • Manage billing-related inquiries, produce financial reports, and support system updates and upgrades.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Outside Counsel Guidelines and operational controls.
  • Provide expertise in legal accounting systems, document management, and financial forecasting tools.
  • Work remotely, contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client guidelines and internal policies.
  • Audit and review matter setups, coding, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to maintain and enhance billing operations and systems.
  • Lead projects focused on compliance audits and operational controls.
  • Communicate with attorneys to resolve billing issues and reinforce adherence to standards.
  • Respond to billing inquiries and deliver financial reports as requested.
  • Support system updates, enhancements, and upgrades in collaboration with IT teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial systems administration and legal billing.
  • Proficiency in legal accounting systems, document management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls in professional services.
  • Experience collaborating with senior attorneys and finance leadership in a global environment.
  • Ability to manage billing inquiries and produce detailed financial reports.
  • Advanced skills in financial forecasting and reporting tools.
