Job Description

Overview

  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within a leading technology organization.
  • Collaborate across departments to align accounting practices with organizational goals and forecasts.
  • Manage and optimize month-end close processes, reconciliations, and audit preparations.
  • Support revenue recognition processes and maintain deferred revenue balances under established standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management workflows for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations and assist in tax filings and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial systems and processes.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts to align accounting data with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and conduct detailed variance analyses.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and interim reviews.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial reporting integrity.
  • Manage accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and collections processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including multi-state tax filings.
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams on cash forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Implement process enhancements to improve workflow efficiency and data accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, ASC 606, and general ledger accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and automation projects.
  • Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting requirements.
