Overview

  • Deliver exceptional occupational therapy services in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on enhancing patient mobility and independence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify therapy needs and establish achievable goals.
  • Design and implement individualized therapeutic interventions to enhance patient functionality.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the effective use of adaptive equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress for compliance and planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Provide mentorship and training to new team members and occupational therapy students.
  • Adapt treatment plans based on patient response and evolving needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance therapy services and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Valid Occupational Therapy License (Virginia VDHP) required upon hire.
  • NBCOT Certification (OTR) required upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required upon hire (AHA/ARC/ASHI accepted).
  • Proficient documentation and communication skills for effective care planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
