Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during all stages of labor and delivery.
  • Provide comprehensive newborn assessment and care, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and postpartum recovery processes.
  • Maintain professional accountability and leadership in nursing practices and patient care.
  • Participate in hospital-required competencies, vaccinations, and annual screenings.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing and current RN license.
  • Current BLS CPR certification; ACLS preferred; NRP certification within 9 months.
  • Completion of fetal monitoring course within 6 months; certifications must remain current.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Competency in newborn assessment, sterile techniques, and patient care planning.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks and meet physical conditions of the position.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
