Job Description

Overview

  • Supervise and lead accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax filings, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Research and implement accounting principles to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and external stakeholders.
  • Support affiliates with financial analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations.
  • Review and approve journal entries, work papers, and financial statements for accuracy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounting efficiency and workflows.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for financial reporting and presentations.
  • Provide insights and analysis to support management’s financial decision-making.
  • Mentor and train accounting staff to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in GAAP accounting techniques and general ledger systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
