Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare patients for clinical examinations, recording vitals and updating medical histories accurately.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct routine diagnostic tests, including EKGs and screenings, ensuring precise documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Provide phlebotomy services with high accuracy and patient-centered care.
- Counsel patients on medication adherence, dietary requirements, and health management strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- CPR certification and compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with successful completion of a proficiency exam.
- Preferred experience in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration.
- Knowledge of Value-Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
