Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare patients for clinical examinations, recording vitals and updating medical histories accurately.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic tests, including EKGs and screenings, ensuring precise documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Provide phlebotomy services with high accuracy and patient-centered care.
  • Counsel patients on medication adherence, dietary requirements, and health management strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • CPR certification and compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with successful completion of a proficiency exam.
  • Preferred experience in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration.
  • Knowledge of Value-Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
