Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering accurate, actionable financial insights to drive organizational success.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to strengthen internal controls and enhance financial reporting processes.
  • Guide and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process improvements across accounting operations, optimizing workflows and leveraging automation technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and oversee external audits to maintain financial integrity.
  • Optimize ERP systems to enhance reporting capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support organizational growth.
  • Support payroll management, cash flow tracking, and accounts receivable processes to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Manage payroll operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements and contributions.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, controls, and documentation to align with organizational growth.
  • Optimize ERP systems and financial processes to improve reporting accuracy and automation.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial reporting with strategic business objectives.
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning and forecasting to support organizational growth initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing tax filings, including state and sales taxes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to improve processes and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Experience in growth-stage technology companies is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site two days per week to support team collaboration and operations.
