Overview

  • Lead financial operations and fund accounting for a dynamic investment firm, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to optimize financial strategies and support long-term growth initiatives.
  • Prepare for a transition to the CFO role within 18-24 months, contributing to executive-level decision-making.
  • Oversee financial reporting, compliance, and audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance across the organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align financial objectives with business strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee fund accounting processes, including management of administrators and preparation of detailed financial reports.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and growth initiatives effectively.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and analyze performance metrics for strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory for this role.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management.
  • Preferred 12 years of experience in private equity or related industries.
  • Proven expertise in fund accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site four days a week, contributing to a collaborative environment.
