Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of surgical services, ensuring seamless workflow and patient care delivery.
  • Develop and enforce policies to uphold safety and quality standards in perioperative care.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental objectives with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and accreditation requirements in surgical services.
  • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to optimize departmental efficiency.
  • Coordinate procurement and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical services leadership; 5 years preferred.
  • Current RN license in Texas or compact state mandatory.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • CNOR certification preferred within one year of hire or promotion.
  • Proficiency in financial management and resource allocation in healthcare settings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of advanced surgical techniques and perioperative care standards.
