Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate billing processes for assigned partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices.
  • Manage new matter intake and generate prebills for review and distribution.
  • Finalize invoices and submit e-bills through electronic billing platforms.
  • Handle billing appeals and resolve rejections to maintain smooth operations.
  • Monitor open balances and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, partners, and legal staff to address billing inquiries and issues.
  • Provide administrative support for billing-related tasks and maintain organized records.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of law firm billing experience, with proficiency in SurePoint preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage billing operations effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with legal staff and clients.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
