Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Operating Room team, ensuring high standards of care and efficiency.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a dedicated team of clinical and support staff members.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to optimize patient flow and surgical outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and promote compliance with healthcare protocols.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and supply chain processes effectively.
  • Monitor budgets and implement cost-effective practices in perioperative services.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care OR management experience required.
  • Preferred 5 years of perioperative nursing experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead clinical outcome improvements using evidence-based practices.
  • Experience in budget management and promoting cost-effective practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
