Overview

  • Join a prominent financial services firm as an ABS Operations Associate, managing complex asset-backed securities portfolios.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in structured credit asset classes, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize trading, valuation, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage ABS portfolios, handling diverse collateral types such as loans, CMBS, and CLOs.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with administrators and ensuring accuracy.
  • Process month-end updates, including principal distributions and interest calculations for structured credit portfolios.
  • Assist in portfolio valuation, pricing, and reporting to internal committees and stakeholders.
  • Support securitization transactions, providing reporting and purchase assistance.
  • Manage trade lifecycle activities, from instrument setup to settlement resolution.
  • Coordinate cash management processes, including wire submissions and broker communications.
  • Participate in strategic projects, enhancing system functionality and operational workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, preferably in finance or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of middle/back-office experience, ideally within a buy-side fund.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tools like Intex, Bloomberg, and trustee websites.
  • Knowledge of structured credit asset classes, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs.
  • Experience with portfolio management systems such as Geneva or VPM is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented demeanor.
