Director, Accounting

Overview

• Lead the accounting operations of a respected organization, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and international standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage general ledger operations, inter-company transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and international tax regulations.
• Provide technical expertise in accounting systems and internal controls.
• Develop and implement accounting guidelines and policies to maintain operational integrity.
• Train and mentor the accounting team to foster professional growth and excellence.
• Collaborate with managers to provide financial data for informed decision-making.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred for advanced expertise.
• CPA certification is advantageous and demonstrates professional proficiency.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including U.S. and international transactions.
• 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in professional services or similar industries.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Aderant, Blackline, and Concur.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS standards.
• Advanced technical and analytical skills with a strategic vision for process improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and leadership.
