Overview

  • Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting clinical operations and promoting wellness.

  • Perform administrative and clinical tasks, including patient record management and diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient intake procedures, gathering vital signs and medical history for assessments.
  • Administer prescribed medications and vaccines, adhering to medical guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and collect specimens for laboratory analysis, including phlebotomy.
  • Accurately input patient information into electronic medical records systems, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide mentorship to junior medical assistants, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical and administrative protocols, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant designation is advantageous for this role.
  • CPR certification is mandatory for patient-facing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, with successful language proficiency testing, is preferred.
  • Experience in phlebotomy and administering medications and vaccines is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS patient experience metrics is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team environment.
