Job Description

Overview

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic cardiac and vascular sonography services in a clinical setting, ensuring exceptional patient care and accurate imaging results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret sonographic data and provide precise diagnostic insights for patient treatment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality, and infection control standards during all procedures.
  • Operate and maintain advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring readiness and optimal functionality for diagnostic use.
  • Perform 2D echo with color flow Doppler exams, adhering to clinical protocols and achieving diagnostic accuracy.
  • Educate patients about procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort throughout the diagnostic process.
  • Support laboratory accreditation efforts and foster professional relationships within the healthcare team.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technologies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive sonographic assessments and examinations as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Utilize advanced sonographic skills to adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological findings.
  • Analyze sonographic images and integrate patient medical history to deliver diagnostic information.
  • Prepare detailed preliminary reports and communicate findings effectively to referring healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure efficient workflow and adequate coverage within the clinical environment.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during all diagnostic procedures, maintaining a patient-centered approach.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including reviewing requisitions and implementing infection control measures.
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team knowledge and skills.

Job Requirements

  • Certification in Vascular and Echo, with ARDMS or CCI credentials in good standing.
  • Completion of accredited Ultrasound Technology Training program, ensuring proficiency in diagnostic techniques.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Sonographer; motivated new graduates may be considered.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and utilizing diagnostic software tools effectively.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support, with familiarity in first aid practices.
  • Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to enhance patient communication.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with travel reimbursement for clinic visits.
  • High School Diploma or GED required as a foundational educational qualification.
