Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

• Take charge as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, driving IT operations and strategic initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Oversee comprehensive IT infrastructure, including networking, server systems, virtualization, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with leadership to align technology strategies with organizational objectives and long-term goals.
• Provide advanced expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and Cisco command line operations.
• Drive technology implementations, scope projects, and deploy solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to IT processes, procedures, and service level agreements, maintaining high standards of compliance.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of systems, assets, and network configurations for streamlined operations.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Plan, install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, networks, email systems, and backup systems effectively.
• Troubleshoot complex client/server issues, cabling, and software application problems with precision.
• Manage daily IT operations, ensuring SLA adherence and handling escalations promptly.
• Lead IT projects, collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders for successful execution.
• Provide analysis, recommendations, and proposals to enhance system lifecycle and service efficiency.
• Support infrastructure operations, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and scripting tasks for automation.
• Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, IDS, antivirus, and backup solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with executives, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with 10 years preferred.
• Strong expertise in networking, including routing, switching, and Cisco systems.
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and scripting for automation tasks.
• Certifications such as CCNA are highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage projects and interact with stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to develop and implement IT processes and procedures efficiently.
