Overview

  • Lead nursing operations at a healthcare organization, ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement standardized nursing policies and procedures across operational centers.
  • Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and workforce development to optimize efficiency and outcomes.
  • Oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body standards.
  • Coordinate infection control, medication management, and patient safety initiatives effectively.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance patient care quality.
  • Support the development of new centers, ensuring guidelines are met for operational approval.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership and supervision for nursing and clinical teams, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and staff to promote teamwork and quality care.
  • Ensure clinical operations comply with regulatory and accrediting standards consistently.
  • Direct Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs across operational centers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to clinical care and patient safety effectively.
  • Develop orientation, competency, and continuing education programs for nursing staff.
  • Mentor and coach nurse managers and staff to foster professional growth and development.
  • Promote adherence to evidence-based practices and encourage continuous learning.

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification mandatory for the role.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive operational excellence.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
