Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage nuclear medicine operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and policies.
  • Supervise staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide training for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve strategic goals and improve patient care quality.
  • Oversee supply and materials management, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Investigate complaints, errors, and safety incidents, implementing corrective measures.
  • Participate in staffing the department to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Promote best practices and process improvements for enhanced productivity and satisfaction.
  • Support the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and monitor revenue and expenses.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily operations across multiple departments or modalities within the organization.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and competency assessments for staff members.
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance department effectiveness and safety.
  • Monitor and manage department budgets, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Investigate and address complaints, errors, and safety incidents effectively.
  • Participate in strategic planning and facility development initiatives.
  • Provide in-service training to staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Respond to customer complaints, performing service recovery as needed.
  • Monitor satisfaction survey scores and implement strategies to enhance customer experience.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Board certification in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB is mandatory.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field; 5 years preferred.
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing department operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and recommending new technologies.
  • Ability to work on-site and oversee staff across various shifts.
