Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across diverse financial processes and systems.
  • Develop and implement policies and workflows to enhance financial operations and maintain organizational integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support seamless financial and administrative functions.
  • Oversee and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering professional growth and team development.
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in accounts payable processes.
  • Evaluate and implement automation platforms to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to organizational financial strategy by providing insights and recommendations based on accounts payable data.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor relations.
  • Prepare financial reports, cash forecasts, and variance analyses to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop reporting frameworks for payables categories and payment analysis to enhance decision-making.
  • Implement internal controls and policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee credit card management, travel expense systems, and related accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with financial close meetings, providing insights on expense trends and metrics.
  • Prepare and file forms 1099 and support LM2 reporting and tax filings as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, staff, and stakeholders for enhanced collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of accounts payable experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and payable management tools.
  • Strong Excel skills, including financial reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Experience in internal controls, policy development, and automation implementation.
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor regulations and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and leadership.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
