Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct ultrasound and echocardiogram examinations following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients to ensure optimal imaging results and patient comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment and adjust settings to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
  • Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures and patient information.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols during all procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications in ultrasound technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound and echocardiogram equipment and interpreting results.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work on-site and adhere to a structured schedule.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
  • Physical capability to perform imaging procedures, including standing and positioning patients.
