Overview
- Serve as a key team member in the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate financial processing and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate within a four-person accounting team to maintain operational excellence and support organizational goals.
- Perform hybrid work arrangement with four days onsite and one day remote after training period.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closings, assisting with accrual schedules and journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with company travel programs and purchasing guidelines.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
- Maintain superior attention to detail and organizational skills to uphold financial accuracy.
- Utilize relevant software tools, including Excel and Dynamics, for efficient task execution.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process vendor invoices and manage FTP payment files to banks, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare year-end 1099 and 1096 forms in compliance with legal requirements.
- Compile, audit, and review credit card reports for documentation accuracy and compliance.
- Administer company purchasing programs and monitor travel program adherence.
- Assist in preparing journal entries and accrual schedules for monthly and quarterly closings.
- Support special projects and initiatives, contributing to team and organizational goals.
- Perform filing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks to maintain organized records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to accounting best practices and standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general accounting; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Excel and Dynamics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration.
