Overview

  • Lead financial operations for a multi-family office managing $5bn in assets.
  • Oversee corporate accounting, fund coordination, compliance, and HR processes.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and operations teams on fund activities.
  • Manage a team of professionals to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee general ledger, monthly close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead corporate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Review fund financial statements and ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators on allocations and calculations.
  • Manage HR processes, including hiring, payroll, and insurance needs.
  • Ensure SEC compliance and oversee regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate on fund launches, restructurings, and wind-downs.
  • Support financial planning and reporting for the firm’s operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience required.
  • Experience in fund accounting or auditing asset managers.
  • Prior controllership or senior accounting role in asset management.
  • Proven success in team management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to relocate to Charleston, SC after initial NYC-based onboarding.
