Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform mammographic imaging procedures following established protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to provide accurate diagnostic imaging results.
• Educate patients about the procedure and address any concerns to ensure a positive experience.
• Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality control and assurance programs to maintain high standards of imaging services.
• Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
• Support departmental goals and initiatives by contributing to process improvements and team collaboration.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography; 2 years preferred.
• Certification in mammography technology and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency in operating mammography equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, patient care standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry advancements.
• Ability to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
