Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the nursing department operations, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing constructive feedback and discipline as needed.
- Coordinate staffing schedules, leveraging per diem pools for adequate coverage.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for nursing personnel.
- Order and manage medical supplies, ensuring proper storage and inventory checks.
- Perform clinical nursing tasks, including medication administration and specimen collection.
- Educate patients on medication self-administration and provide injections as prescribed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and recovery support.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Charge Nurse or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of substance abuse treatment protocols and practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage nursing operations effectively.
