Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage the nursing department operations, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing constructive feedback and discipline as needed.
• Coordinate staffing schedules, leveraging per diem pools for adequate coverage.
• Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for nursing personnel.
• Order and manage medical supplies, ensuring proper storage and inventory checks.
• Perform clinical nursing tasks, including medication administration and specimen collection.
• Educate patients on medication self-administration and provide injections as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and recovery support.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New York.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment.
• Charge Nurse or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of substance abuse treatment protocols and practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage nursing operations effectively.
