Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional support during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and adherence to safety standards.
  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments efficiently for diverse procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for procedures.
  • Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary tools and supplies.
  • Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in stocking and ordering supplies for the department.
  • Follow protocols and guidelines to maintain patient safety and care quality.
  • Support patient care by assisting with intraoperative tasks and monitoring.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
  • Preferred: Two years of recent operating room experience.
  • Preferred: Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
