Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary tools and supplies.
- Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in stocking and ordering supplies for the department.
- Follow protocols and guidelines to maintain patient safety and care quality.
- Support patient care by assisting with intraoperative tasks and monitoring.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
- Preferred: Two years of recent operating room experience.
- Preferred: Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
