Overview

  • Provide career counseling, job readiness training, and placement assistance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess clients’ vocational interests and barriers to employment.
  • Develop individualized employment plans aligned with career goals.
  • Conduct workshops on workplace expectations and professional behavior.
  • Establish relationships with employers to create job opportunities.
  • Coordinate job placement efforts with external agencies and programs.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress and provide support.
  • Collaborate with behavioral health staff for integrated care planning.
  • Prepare reports on client progress and program outcomes.
  • Promote vocational services at community events and initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience in vocational counseling or workforce development.
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
  • Proficiency in career assessment tools and job coaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and case management skills.
  • Experience with behavioral health challenges and vocational rehabilitation.
  • Ability to engage with community partners and navigate employment barriers.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Bengali, Mandarin, or Cantonese preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and a strengths-based approach to client support.
