Overview
- Lead nursing operations for a comprehensive care facility, ensuring exceptional resident-centered services and compliance with health regulations.
- Oversee clinical care across multiple assisted living programs, fostering quality outcomes and excellence in care.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff, promoting professional growth and effective teamwork.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans tailored to resident needs.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies to maintain operational standards.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers, enhancing communication and care coordination.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical policies and procedures.
- Manage emergencies and clinical interventions, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee clinical services within Adult Home, Assisted Living Residence, and specialized care programs.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with case managers and coordinators.
- Lead nursing staff, supervising Home Health Aides in medication management and personal care.
- Conduct resident assessments and reassessments to ensure appropriate care delivery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and quality assurance reports.
- Participate in policy development and evaluation to improve care standards.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage clinical emergencies and interventions effectively.
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
- Advanced training in nursing leadership is advantageous.
- Minimum 6 years of clinical experience in long-term care or assisted living.
- At least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of NYS Assisted Living and Adult Care Facility regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record documentation.
- Exceptional clinical assessment and care planning abilities.
