Overview

  • Lead financial reporting initiatives for a dynamic energy firm, ensuring compliance with SEC and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain disclosure checklists for SEC reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to address new or unusual transactions effectively.
  • Assist in preparing statutory financial statements, aligning with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Facilitate interactions with external auditors, providing necessary support and documentation.
  • Ensure SOX compliance within financial reporting processes, enhancing transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to the development of financial reporting strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support the transition to clean energy through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, preferably including Big 4 audit and advisory roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial disclosure requirements.
  • Experience with Lease Accounting, Debt Accounting, and Revenue Recognition is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with tax, legal, and business teams.
