Overview

  • Deliver remote pharmacy services, including prescription verification, patient counseling, and medication management, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Verify prescriptions for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and regulatory compliance, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication use, adherence strategies, and therapy management via remote communication channels.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to clarify orders and discuss therapeutic alternatives for improved patient care.
  • Guide pharmacy technicians in accurate order processing and prescription preparation, maintaining operational standards.
  • Document patient interactions and prescriber communications in compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to DEA regulations, Board of Pharmacy laws, and quality assurance protocols.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, with 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and remote communication tools for efficient service delivery.
  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills for effective patient and prescriber interactions.
  • Expertise in FDA health regulations, pharmacology, and legal compliance standards.
  • Experience with medication therapy management and patient counseling to support health outcomes.
