Overview

  • Lead strategic accounting operations for a diversified property portfolio, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee financial reporting processes, providing accurate and timely insights to support organizational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on acquisitions, valuations, and investor relations initiatives.

  • Manage audit and tax processes, ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Collaborate with investor relations teams on partner communications and financial reporting.
  • Analyze complex transactions, ensuring precise accounting for acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Coordinate audit and tax processes, delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Manage external fund administrator relationships, maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate on asset valuations, forecasts, and budgets with investment committees.
  • Develop efficient accounting processes, leading technology and automation initiatives.
  • Respond to investor and management inquiries, providing strategic financial insights.
  • Mentor and oversee accounting staff, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience, with substantial expertise in property accounting.
  • Proficiency in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience with partnership accounting, fee calculations, and external administration oversight.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to implement accounting systems and drive process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Familiarity with business combinations and purchase price allocation preferred.
