Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform mammography imaging procedures with precision, ensuring adherence to quality control protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists to interpret mammographic images and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain mammography equipment, addressing malfunctions promptly to minimize service disruptions.
- Accurately complete medical records, patient consents, and billing documentation.
- Monitor inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies for seamless operations.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and maintain professional certifications through ongoing education.
- Support compliance with MQSA and ACR standards, contributing to organizational accreditation efforts.
- Deliver timely diagnostic results and escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required.
- ARRT Registration R.T.(R) and Certification in Mammography (M) mandatory.
- State Department of Radiation Control License required for compliance.
- Maintain registry status and fulfill continuing education requirements.
- 2+ years of mammography experience preferred; open to newly graduated candidates.
- Proficiency in English for effective documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure quality imaging and patient care.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently within a dynamic environment.
