Overview

  • Lead construction projects for retail establishments across the Southeast, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones effectively.
  • Supervise on-site operations, maintaining adherence to safety protocols and optimized workflows.
  • Manage budgets and schedules to ensure successful project delivery within constraints.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site teams, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements throughout construction phases.
  • Travel extensively across the Southeast to oversee multiple projects and uphold quality standards.
  • Utilize expertise in retail construction to drive project success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical challenges effectively.
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders, addressing achievements and challenges.
  • Manage procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management; 15 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in ground-up retail construction projects, particularly grocery store developments.
  • Associate degree in construction management or a related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Southeast region for project oversight.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools to streamline operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and schedules for complex construction projects.
