Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of surgical services, ensuring seamless workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and leadership within the team.
  • Monitor adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, addressing any compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Manage departmental budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of financial resources.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in surgical services leadership; 5 years preferred.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in accordance with state regulations.
  • Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) and Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement programs.
  • Experience in fiscal management and strategic planning within healthcare settings.
