Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Maternal Child Health department, driving excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation to enhance maternal and child health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet organizational goals and healthcare standards.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to nursing staff and administrative personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

  • Support community outreach programs and organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the Maternal Child Health department, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, encouraging professional development and teamwork.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, implementing cost-effective measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate comprehensive patient care services.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and care quality.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to organizational development efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience at a manager or director level.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and departmental operations effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and occasionally travel as required.
