Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Collaborate with high-net-worth individuals and family offices to manage tax work papers.
- Conduct tax accounting adjustments and compile financial statements.
- Assist with tax research and recommend strategies to optimize compliance and understanding.
- Draft responses to IRS and governmental inquiries, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Support team members with accounting tasks and uphold ethical standards.
- Utilize tax preparation software to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and team members to ensure effective collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax preparation; 7 years preferred.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software such as BNA and CCH Axcess.
- Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to dynamic environments.
