Overview

• Lead the accounting function for a dynamic AI fintech company, ensuring accurate financials and robust controls in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies and scalable processes.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Manage revenue recognition for SaaS and usage-based contracts, maintaining precision and accountability.
• Handle payroll, equity, operating expenses, and cash management with meticulous attention to detail.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, documentation, and audit readiness for a growing organization.
• Coordinate with external partners, including tax, audit, and accounting firms, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide management and board-level financial reporting, contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Own and execute end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Ensure general ledger accuracy and perform detailed account reconciliations.
• Manage revenue recognition processes for SaaS and usage-based contracts.
• Oversee accounting for payroll, equity, and operating expenses with precision.
• Develop and implement scalable accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain audit readiness and collaborate with external partners for compliance.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and the board.
• Collaborate with the CFO on strategic financial initiatives and scaling efforts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting or finance experience, with 10 years preferred.
• Prior experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager in venture-backed SaaS or fintech companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SaaS accounting practices.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to manage audits and collaborate with external reporting partners.
• Comfort operating hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and accountability in financial operations.
