Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, breast, and cardiac imaging.
  • Analyze patient history and clinical indications to determine optimal imaging approaches.
  • Ensure patient comfort and understanding by thoroughly explaining procedures.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Document procedures and findings accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
  • Stay informed on advancements in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Certification by ARDMS or CCI in relevant specialty areas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in hospital or outpatient imaging settings is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment in diagnostic imaging.
  • Ability to work on-site with flexible shifts and multiple locations.
