Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, breast, and cardiac imaging.
- Analyze patient history and clinical indications to determine optimal imaging approaches.
- Ensure patient comfort and understanding by thoroughly explaining procedures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Document procedures and findings accurately in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
- Stay informed on advancements in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification by ARDMS or CCI in relevant specialty areas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in hospital or outpatient imaging settings is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment in diagnostic imaging.
