Job Description
Overview
- Support the financial reporting department in preparing financial schedules and analyses for SEC filings and other ad-hoc reports.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of SEC filings, including 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy statements.
- Oversee stock administration tasks such as Form 4 filings, dividend payments, and share count schedules.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to gather timely financial and non-financial information.
- Ensure compliance with SEC and NYSE rules and regulations, including section 16 filings and dividend notifications.
- Provide support for external and internal audit requests, including SOX 404 compliance.
- Participate in preparing reporting packages for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
- Perform competitive peer analysis and other ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and maintain periodic workpapers and analyses supporting financial statement disclosures in SEC filings.
- Coordinate external press releases and support investor relations functions.
- Assist in completing quarterly disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate internal share count schedules and oversee stock administration responsibilities.
- Provide analytical support for financial reporting and regulatory compliance tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for financial reporting purposes.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and compliance standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Preferred experience in a large-tier accounting firm or public company.
- Proficiency in GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with teams effectively.
