Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the accounting and administration of fund-of-fund vehicles within a dynamic finance team.
  • Engage in special projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax work papers with adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with auditors and fund administrators during year-end audits.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Gain exposure to diverse financial responsibilities within and outside the finance department.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounting and administration tasks for fund-of-fund vehicles.
  • Book and reconcile transactions across internal systems accurately.
  • Coordinate with client service teams, custodians, and fund managers to resolve financial breaks.
  • Price underlying fund managers using month-end estimates and statements.
  • Reconcile month-end NAV reporting and address discrepancies effectively.
  • Prepare and review year-end financial statements and tax documentation.
  • Coordinate audit requests with auditors and fund administrators.
  • Enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to optimize operations.
  • Participate in projects involving new product launches and system upgrades.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hedge fund accounting and reporting.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in processing and reviewing general ledger transactions.
  • Experience with management and incentive fee calculations.
  • Extensive experience in audit processes and preparing financial statements.
  • Knowledge of various financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, and derivatives.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with strong collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies.
