Job Description

Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations for private credit funds, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to streamline fund accounting processes and reconciliation tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for inquiries and service planning.
  • Mentor and lead a team of fund accounting professionals, fostering growth and performance excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and industry-specific accounting requirements for credit fund structures.
  • Prepare and review NAV calculations, financial statements, and other critical deliverables.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement departmental procedures for private credit fund accounting operations.
  • Standardize and automate workflows for reconciliation and accounting processes.
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of general ledgers and financial records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet client deliverable deadlines effectively.
  • Review and prepare financial statements, partner capital statements, and management fee calculations.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide timely, accurate information and reports.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, ensuring professional communication and strong relationships.
  • Lead and mentor a team, promoting continuous learning and high performance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related financial discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with private credit funds.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and credit fund structures, including master/feeder setups.
  • Experience with credit instruments such as mezzanine debt and term loans.
  • Preferred experience with FIS HFPM platform for fund accounting operations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Leadership skills to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
