Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic financial operations for a portfolio of fintech companies in a remote, fractional VP of Finance role.
  • Collaborate with senior management to optimize financial processes and enable value creation across decentralized entities.
  • Provide actionable insights on KPIs, profitability drivers, and growth levers to executive teams.
  • Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting to private equity stakeholders and boards.
  • Champion scalable forecasting, budgeting, and financial control methodologies for multi-entity visibility.
  • Mentor finance teams to elevate standards and capabilities across the organization.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and automation of financial workflows.
  • Engage in a flexible, part-time contract role with potential for expanded engagement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead FP&A processes, refining revenue, expense, and cash flow forecasts with executive teams.
  • Enhance P&L accountability, ensuring accurate forecasting and actionable variance analysis.
  • Oversee accounting close processes, GAAP compliance, and internal controls for accurate financial results.
  • Prepare and present financial results and insights to private equity stakeholders and boards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align budgets with strategic initiatives.
  • Implement scalable tools and methodologies for forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Drive financial transformation initiatives and standardize FP&A practices across entities.
  • Mentor finance teams to elevate operational standards and capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance or a related field.
  • 10+ years of finance leadership experience, including VP-level roles in private equity-backed or high-growth technology businesses.
  • Expertise in FP&A, forecasting, reporting, and decentralized/multi-entity business models.
  • Strong understanding of accounting disciplines and financial controls implementation.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial packages to private equity sponsors and boards.
  • Proven ability to build or uplift finance functions and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
  • Preferred experience in SaaS, fintech, or B2B enterprise platforms.
