Job Description

Overview

  • Design and develop advanced electrical systems for autonomous platforms, focusing on embedded control electronics and power distribution.
  • Create detailed schematics and lead PCB layout development to meet performance and durability standards.
  • Develop real-time embedded software using C++ and Python for high-reliability defense applications.
  • Perform simulations for signal integrity, thermal performance, and electromagnetic compatibility to validate designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics with mechanical systems and sensors.
  • Lead PCB design efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices in layout and EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Conduct extensive testing and validation of hardware and firmware under real-world conditions.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, layouts, and test reports.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design robust electrical systems for autonomous platforms, focusing on embedded control and power distribution.
  • Develop and deploy real-time embedded software for defense applications using C++ and Python.
  • Perform system-level simulations to validate designs under operational stress.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams for seamless integration of electronics with sensors and actuators.
  • Lead PCB design efforts, emphasizing power integrity and EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Conduct lab and field testing to optimize system behavior under real-world conditions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and validation reports.
  • Continuously optimize hardware and software for improved performance and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in electrical design, firmware development, and PCB layout.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle.
  • Experience with simulation tools for evaluating performance under stress.
  • Advanced C++ proficiency for embedded systems and Python for scripting.
  • Proven ability to integrate electronics with mechanical systems and sensors.
  • Experience designing and deploying real-time control software for autonomous platforms.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux and RTOS environments is a plus.
