Overview

  • Lead PACU nursing operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring exceptional patient care and staff collaboration.
  • Drive compliance with healthcare standards and implement evidence-based practices for optimal outcomes.

  • Mentor and support staff development through training and constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily PACU operations, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Coordinate resource allocation to meet patient care demands efficiently.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and nursing best practices.
  • Facilitate staff education and training to enhance clinical competencies.
  • Address patient and family concerns, ensuring satisfaction and resolution.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and care quality.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and execute effective care plans.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with 3 years preferred.
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety measures and emergency preparedness.
  • Proven leadership skills in a healthcare environment are essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams.
