Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and oversee commercial construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage trade partners, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and construction codes.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing challenges and implementing solutions to maintain schedules.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, budgets, and timelines to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among team members and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with trade partners and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to address concerns and provide updates.
  • Manage resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes.
  • Resolve conflicts and challenges on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address technical issues and ensure project feasibility.
  • Prepare and submit documentation, including permits, reports, and compliance records.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and coordinating trade partners and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze project requirements and implement effective solutions to challenges.
  • Experience in preparing reports and documentation for project tracking and compliance.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools is preferred.
