Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations for investment companies, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and industry standards.
  • Strengthen client relationships by providing expert guidance on accounting and reporting processes.
  • Analyze investment documentation to ensure precise accounting practices and regulatory adherence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee capital structures, calls, distributions, and valuation activities for client investments.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional services.
  • Implement process automation to improve accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Utilize advanced technology to support remote work and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure financial data accuracy and adherence to accounting standards for investment companies.
  • Address client inquiries, offering expert accounting solutions and guidance.
  • Analyze and review investment capital structures and associated accounting data.
  • Manage and validate capital calls, distributions, and valuation activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and client reports for accuracy.
  • Conduct technical research and apply US GAAP to complex accounting issues.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure productivity and quality output.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to optimize systems and implement best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in private equity accounting or related field.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience in fund administration and investment accounting.
  • Proficiency in applying US GAAP standards for investment companies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relationship management.
  • Ability to work remotely using advanced technology effectively.
  • Knowledge of private equity investment structures and reporting requirements.
